Miss Oregon's Outstanding Teen Speaks Out For Animals and Humane Oregon

We are proud to have Emma Ellis as an official spokesperson for Humane Oregon. Emma won Miss Oregon's Outstanding Teen competition on July 1, speaking on a platform of "Love Unleashed: Animal Care and Adoption Education." We know Emma from her work with us at Humane Lobby Day 2017. She also joined us in Salem this year to testify for House Concurrent Resolution 16, which would have made "rescued shelter dogs" the official state dog of Oregon. (It didn't pass this year but we will try again.) Emma is now in Orlando, Florida, for the Miss America Outstanding Teen pageant, which takes place July 25-29. We wish Emma the best of luck!
